Der 1954 in Norwegen geborene und heute in Berlin lebende Maler Olav Christopher Jenssen ist ein Künstler, der sich vorschnellen Etikettierungen immer entzogen hat. Stets bereit, das bislang Erreichte zugunsten neuer Zielsetzungen aufzugeben, entwickelte er in den vergangenen zwei Jahrzehnten ein stilistisch überaus reiches und vielschichtiges Werk. Sich mit Jenssens Arbeit zu beschäftigen bedeutet daher, sich einem »unerschöpflichen Strom der Erfindung« auszusetzen, der alle Kategorisierungen sprengt. So bewegt sich seine Kunst zwischen formaler Präzision und barockem Überschwang, zwischen sensibler »Peinture« und poetisch-sprachlichen Anspielungen, deren Ausdruck teilweise chiffrierte Textzitate sind. In dem Katalogbuch kommen all diese Facetten von Jenssens Oeuvre zur Anschauung, wobei es sich auf die Arbeiten der letzten zehn Jahre konzentriert. Slight odor, more flexible than I expected

These looked like they were going to be heavy duty, but they were more flexible than I expected (see video clip). They probably still will work well, but if you’re poking your fork into something stiff, expect that the fork might bend some.
There was a slight chemical odor when I opened the package, and I’m not a fan of that. As someone with MCS, I have to avoid exposure to fragrances and other harmful chemicals, and it makes me wonder what these are coated with. The gold might be cute for the aesthetic you’re going for with a particular gathering or party, but I find it unnecessary.
I would rather go with the real heavy duty ones that are clear plastic from a club warehouse rather than these gold ones. I feel that these are overpriced for the quality, but not a bad price if all you’re going for is the gold aesthetic.

Nice, high end look, disposable

I hate to spend a lot of money on something that's just going to be thrown away, so typically buy dollar store disposable silverware for parties and gatherings. But every once in a while, you want something more upscale or high end looking. Enter this pricy but pretty plastic silverware. It is perfect for a wedding, anniversary, shower or other event where you want a nicer look instead of basic.
It is sturdy. You won't have to worry about it breaking as someone spears a bite of chicken. It looks great! There's only so much you can do with plastic ware but for what it is, it looks really nice.
