Kandinsky Becherset aus der ars mundi Exklusiv-Edition

Das Becherset mit Motiven von Kandinsky zeigt zwei seiner zentralen Arbeiten aus der Bauhaus-Zeit, übertragen auf Becher aus Bone China. „Schweres Rot" entstand 1924, „Gelb-Rot-Blau" ein Jahr später – beide Werke stehen für Kandinskys typisches Zusammenspiel geometrischer Formen und kalkulierter Farbverhältnisse.

„Schweres Rot" gehört zu den Arbeiten, die während Kandinskys Lehrtätigkeit am Bauhaus entstanden sind. Das Original wurde 1924 in Öl auf Karton gemalt und hängt heute im Kunstmuseum Basel. „Gelb-Rot-Blau" aus dem Jahr 1925 zählt zu den bekannten Kompositionen des Künstlers und illustriert seine Zuordnung von Grundfarben zu Grundformen: Blau zum Kreis, Gelb zum Dreieck, Rot zum Quadrat. Beide Motive wurden für die ars mundi Exklusiv-Edition auf Becher übertragen.
