Diese minimalistische und gleichzeitig raffinierte Teekanne wurde von Marco Sironi 'Piuma' für den italienischen Glashersteller Ichendorf Milano entworfen. Die Firmengeschichte von Ichendorf begann in den frühen Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts in einer kleinen Stadt in der Nähe von Köln namens Quadrath-Ichendorf. Dort verwendeten viele Glasermeister eine Stoffmischung, darunter Kieselerde, um Gegenständen eine Form zu geben, die dem feinen Geschmack dieser Zeit entsprachen. Kostbare Ornamente spielten bis 1950 die Hauptrolle in verschiedenen geschmackvollen Sammlungen.
In diesem Jahr wurde eine sehr wichtige Geschmacksänderung eingeführt: die Bevorzugung einer sauberen Form und Reinheit des Materials, um eine Art Transparenz zu erreichen, die keine Mängel aufweist.
