Alle Unterteile CONVEX haben eine leicht nach außen gewölbte Fläche zum Andrücken des Espressomehls und werden aus massiven Edelstahl: 1.4305 auf einer CNC-Drehmaschine gefertigt. Ähnlich der American Curve beträgt die Differenz zwischen Mitte und äußerem Rand 1,5mm.


Warum Convex?
Normalerweise spielt die Oberfläche des im Siebträger angedrückten Espresso keine wesentliche Rolle: ob Flat (plan) oder Convex (gewölbt), zwischen der Espresso-Oberfläche und dem Duschsieb ist genügend Platz, so dass sich das Wasser über dem Espresso gleichmäßig verteilen kann und das Pulver auch gleichmäßig durchdringt. Sollten jedoch flache Siebe verwendet werden oder deutlich mehr als 7g (1-Tassensieb) oder 14g (2-Tassensieb) verwendet werden, kann es vorkommen, dass zwischen dem Espressopulver und dem Duschsieb zu wenig Platz bleibt für eine optimale Brühwasserverteilung. Zu diesem Zweck kann eine Tamper Base Convex verwendet werden, damit in der Mitte eine Mulde zur optimalen Wasserverteilung zurückbleibt.

Das Unterteil Base CONVEX ist kombinierbar mit den JoeFrex-Griffen: TECHNIK / EXCLUSIVE / POP / ELEGANCE.
