Die Zusätze Coral Colors A, B, C & D enthalten die 31 Neben- und Spurenelemente, die im Skelett und Weichgewebe aller Korallen vorliegen.

Die Elemente in jedem der Zusätze stehen durch ihre biologische Funktion miteinander in Beziehung und sind mit der Produktion bestimmter Farbpigmente (pink, rot, grün/gelb, violett/blau) im Weichgewebe von Steinkorallen verbunden.

Alle 31 Elemente werden von allen Steinkorallen, unabhängig von ihrer Farbe, benötigt.
