Crawford River Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2022This wine is young and fresh, while at the same time, brooding, structured and complex. Currants, both red and black are there at the outset, together with allspice, dark chocolate and a spiced perfume. The medium weight palate is framed by the fine, chalky tannins, which linger and define. It opens to black olive, blackcurrant and black strap molasses, with the powdery tannins and natural acidity drawing the wine to a persistent finish.

The pepper grinder looks nice and initially functioned well as expected. However, as at least 9 other reviewers have noted experiencing, within 2 weeks of purchase and after very minimal usage, the black retaining ring around the grinder cone & adjustment knob just fell out when I was using the grinder, which was disappointing and indicative of poor design or construction for this part. After some research & experimentation, I was able to pop the ring back into place using needle-nose pliers (you just need something hard and narrow to push and flex the ring a bit, not necessarily pliers). I'm hoping that this is not a harbinger of other problems to come. Otherwise it's a nice grinder.
