At 3mm thick, retains heat for even and consistent cooking. Black carbon steel is a natural mineral material free of any harsh chemicals or coatings, and is PTFE and PFOA free. Love these shoes, they're super comfy. Laces stayed tied all day. I wear them in a business casual environment, or if I'm going out for a nice meal with my wife.
