Third Edition. Hardcover, cloth, with dust jacket, 272 printed pages, 110 photographs, fold out map circa 1976, 11.5 x 11.4 x 1.3 inches.

In 1969, 13 Hippies—refugees from campus riots, war protests and police brutality—fled to the remote Hawaiian island of Kaua‘i. Before long this little tribe of men, women and children were arrested and sentenced to 90 days hard labor for having no money and no home. Island resident Howard Taylor, brother of actress Elizabeth, bailed out the group and invited them to camp on his vacant ocean front land. He then left them on their own, without any restrictions, regulations or supervision. Soon waves of hippies, surfers and troubled Vietnam vets found their way to this clothing-optional, pot-friendly treehouse village at the end of the road on the Island's North Shore.
In 1977, the government condemned the village to make way for a state park. Within a few years the jungle reclaimed Taylor Camp, leaving little but ashes and memories of "the best days of our lives."
John Wehrheim's 1970s photographs reveal a community that created order without rules and rejected materialism for the healing power of nature. The story of Taylor Camp's eight-year existence is told through interviews made 30 years later after tracking down the campers, their neighbors and the government officials who finally got rid of them.

This Third Edition of the book features two new chapters and three new interviews!!

A must read for Kylo fans
Format: Kindle
I'm so sad this was only about 100 pages. This gave clarity to the choppy movie origin story of Kylo Ren while filling some major movie plot holes. Angsty, heart wrenching and dark -- the perfect intro for our favorite emo space boy. The art style was really great without being too gory. Adam Driver fans will also be pretty pleased with the likeness (it's not exact, but still good).

Really good read, and leaves questions
Format: Paperback
Nice to see the Ben Solo story flushed out more than what was shown in The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker. A good job also of not explaining everything. Ben mentions something about what Skywalker did to Snoke, and then there's the Emperor himself speaking to Ben in his mind, which makes one wonder, if even the Emperor was his own voice in Ben's head, why didn't Kylo recognize him in The Rise Of Skywalker. Plenty of things left to really expand upon this very good story.

Excellent Story
Format: Paperback
Charles Soule is without a doubt one of the greatest Star Wars authors around. With this comic he keeps the reader on their toes making it hard to set the book down. It is a definite page turner and easily one of the best comics Marvel has out out under the Star Wars name. An intriguing story, unforgettable moments, and packed with lore, Star Wars fans are sure to love The Rise of Kylo Ren.
