Introducing the very fragrant Rogan Josh Masala. "Rogan" means oil and "Josh" means stew, it is an aromatic curried meat dish of Persian or Kashmiri origin. Traditionally this dish is made with red meat (lamb or goat). It is colored and flavored primarily by alkanet flower or root and Kashmiri chilies. This dish is one of the signature recipes of Kashmiri cuisine.
To make a Rogan Josh curry you don’t need to fry onions, ginger garlic paste or tomatoes, rather the meat cooks in oil and a combination of aromatic spice blends. It is then slow cooked for hours for the magic to happen.
Here is my blend which is true to its origin, it has a number of spices that are unique to Kashmir including saffron, ginger powder, fennel and more. However, the hero of this blend is the Kashmiri chilli powder, which is fragrant, mildly hot, and brings a deep red hue to the dish.
Ingredients - turmeric powder, green and black cardamom, cumin powder, asafetida, fennel, cinnamon, ginger powder and kashmiri chilli powder.
Allergens - asafetida (contains flour)
Jar size - 200 ml
How to use it;
500 grams of meat, use either mutton chops or beef
1. Heat a pan with about 1/2 cup of oil
2. Add 5-6 whole cloves
3. Add the meat and cook in that oil for good 4-5 minutes
4. Transfer the content into a slow cooker or a thick bottomed pot
5. In a bowl
- add 1.5 - 2 tbsp. of my Rogan Josh powder
- add 1/2 cup of hot water
- salt to your taste mix
- 1/2 - 1 tsp chilli powder in case you want a little bit of heat
- add it to the slow cooker (this is to avoid the powders from burning)
6. Let it cook for about 15 minutes
7. In a bowl whisk 250 grams of plain yoghurt and add it in
8. Mix well and add another 1/2 cup of hot
9. Slow cook for about an hour put it off when the meat falls off the bone
P.S - it is a mild, fragrant and sumptuous curry with beautiful red hue, in case you like it hot add about 1 - 1.5 tsp of chilli power with the Rogan Josh powder.
That is it, your Rogan Josh is ready!!

Very easy to use

I have an Onkyo audio/video receiver along with an Emotiva amplifier. Both have speaker "post" terminals which will accept banana plugs, OR I can connect the speaker wires by unscrewing the posts, poke the speaker wires into the terminals and then tighten the posts. The problem with poking the wires into the terminals and tightening the posts vs using banana plugs is that there is a risk of the wires touching the metal on the back of the chassis or touching other speaker wires, causing a short if one is not careful. With banana plugs, they simply plug into the back/top of the posts, eliminating the rsick of a short circuit. They can also be unplugged very easily if needed. Banana plugs are DEFINITELY the preferred way to connect speakers to an receiver or amplifier if they have post-style terminals.
These particular banana plugs came in a package of 12 I believe. They were very reasonably priced, and simple to connect to the end of the speaker wires. Simply unscrew the banana plugs, use a small, standard jewelry screwdriver and loosen both of the set screws, insert the speaker wire, then tighten the set screws, and then screw the banana plug back together.
The plugs have either a red band which would typically be used for your "Right" speakers, or a black band which would typically be used for the "left" speakers. The banana plugs insert into the top or front of the speaker terminal posts on the amp and receiver. They fit VERY snug, and so I did have to apply just a little bit of pressure in order to insert them into the posts, but once plugged in, rest assured they're not going anywhere. They are snug.

Flexible PVC Cable

If you like the slick, shiny surface of PVC but want the flexibility of welding cable, this is a pretty good option. Easy to shape and makes solid crimps. One of my favorites.

Good quality for a good price!

Good value for the quality of these copper cables. Cut them to the length I needed and put a copper eyelet on one end. Wire size works good between my Victron solar charge controller and the batteries. Wire gauge will be able to handle the wattage much better than what I was using. They look much more professional than the old cables I was using also!

Be safe and always calculate the gauge wire are you need, don’t cut corners.

Good quality solid copper 4 Gauge wires in red and black. Avoid aluminum wiring that has copper plating so looks like solid copper but can be dangerous if used in heavy load applications. Copper is expensive but required if amperage is high.
