Our friends at Might Peace Coffee have been hard at work to help bring us this very special delivery of coffee that we will be featuring in the cafes for the next month or tow.  Say hello to the Might Peace Congo Umoja.  It is the first coffee we have brought in from the South Kivu region in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The cooperative has been working on increasing the quality of the coffee over the last 10 year, in order to help improve the living conditions of its members. 

The Umoja is truly one of the most unique coffees we have had an honor of roasting.   We treated it very delicately in the roaster to highlight the intrinsic acidity while developing enough body to create a substantial, drinkable cup.   Once in the cup, the Umoja offers up an explosion of flavors, featuring a tight, bright acidity and clean tropical overtones. The heirloom red bourbon showcases the outstanding body making it a rival among the best examples of this coffee varietal.  Fair Trade & Organic Certified.  Cheers.
