کتاب آزاد خیالی کے متلعق:
یہ تنقیدی سوچ اور آزادنہ دلائل دینے کے بارے میں ہے۔ یہ اُن بہادر مردوں اور عورتوں کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتی ہے جنہوں نے بادشاہت اور کلیسا دونوں کے دعووں، خیالات اور عقائد پر سوالات اٹھانے، انکو چیلینج کرنے، یہاں تک کہ انھیں شکست دینے کی جرات کی۔ یہ کتاب بنی نوح انسان کی زندگی کے معانی اور مقاصد سمجھنے سے متلعق ہے اور آخر میں یہ اُ س سوچ اور رد عمل کی حمایت کرتی ہے جس نے جمہوریت اور مرد وزن کے حق خود اختیاری کو جنم دیا تا کہ و اپنی بہترین استعداد کے مطابق آگے بڑھ سکیں۔اس کے ساتھ ساتھ و دوسروں کو(خود سے) مختلف رہنے اور اپنی رائے کا اظہار کھلے عام اور انتقام کے خوف کے بغیر کرنے کی آزادی دیں۔
آزاد خیالی" کی اصطلاح انگلستان میں سترھویں صدی کے اختتام پر وجود میں آئی۔ آکسفورڈ انگریزی لغت میں آزاد خیال کو ان الفاظ میں بیان کیا گیا ہے۔
"ایسا شخص جو مذہبی معاملات کے سلسلے میں اپنے دلائل کو با اختیار لوگوں یا اداروں کے قابو میں نھی دیتا۔ یہ ایک ایسا منصب ہے جس کا اٹھارویں صدی کے آغاز پر بالخصوص ملحدوں اور عیسائیت کو ردّ کرنے والے دوسرے افراد نے اعلان کیا تھا۔
"ویبسٹر نیو کا لحبیٹ ڈکشنری" اس لفظ کو دو الفاظ 'Free' اور'Thought'' میں تقسیم کرتی ہے اور اس کے معنی' آزاد سوچ یا غیر راسخ سوچ ' بیان کرتی ہے۔ اسکے مطابق' آزاد خیال' وہ شخص ہوتا ہے جو اپنے خیالات کی بنیاد کسی اتھارٹی سے الگ رہ کر دلائل کی بنیاد رکھتا ہے' خاص طور پر وہ جو مذہبی عقائد کو شک کی نظر سے دیکھتا ہے اور اُنکو ردّ کرتے ہے۔ مزید تفصیل کیلیے اس مترادف " Atheist" ( دھریہ) دیکھیں۔ دوسری امریکی لغت بھی ایسے ہی معانی بیان کرتی ہے۔
پس آزاد خیالی کا گہرا تعلق ' تنقیدی سوچ ' اور شاید ' آزاد سوچ ' سے بھی ہے اور یہ دونوں ہی ایک فرد کو ' اپنے بارے میں سوچنے ' کی دعوت دیتی ہیں تا کہ وہ دلائل پر مبنی نتائج پر پہنچ سکے۔ اِس کے علاوہ یہ کھلی تحقیق کرنے اور دوسروں کے عقائد اور خیالات پر آنکھیں بند کرکے یقین نہ کرنے کا پرچار کرتی ہے۔ آزاد خیالی اس طرح کے بنیادی سوالات ابھارتی ہے جیسے:
__ہم کیسے جانتے ہیں کہ یہ سچ ہے ؟
__اِس نتیجے کے حق میں کون سے شواہد موجود ہیں؟
__اِس عقیدے کی بنیاد کن مفروضوں پر ہے اور ہم اُن کی کس طرح تصدیق کرسکتے ہیں؟ وغیرہ

I guess the smell is offputting

Picky dog approved!

I have wasted so much money on dog balls that they won't even pick up! They finally were obsessed with the Kong rubber green/blue or red/blue ones, but they're $3+. each, and they break from the dogs squishing it. I honestly had zero expectations on these, and they BOTH picked them up on the first throw! That's huge!!
Seem to work fine in the ChuckIt.
As for the squeaker, at first I was like "Oh nooooo." when they both loudly started! Much to my (and my neighbors') happiness, the squeakers stopped working after a couple minutes. 🤣

The squeeker isn't durable, but the balls themselves are.

I have two 70+lb, ball obsessed dogs (a field bred Golden Retriever, and an Old Time Scotch Collie), and these balls are living up to the abuse they're receiving.
In the fall we always lose a ball or two in the yard due to getting lost in leaves or longer grass, so I always try and buy a multi pack at the start of the season, so went with these this year. I'm glad I did. Great price for a 6 pack, they fit the medium Chuck-It launcher (a little loosely, but they throw just fine), have great bounce, they FLOAT (which means I didn't lose any at the beach), and they're super durable to the dreaded "mouth squish." The squeaker dies pretty quick, like, within a day, but it isn't the kind that can fall out or choke your dog, so no worries there.
The boys are happy, I'm happy, my wallet is happy - I've already ordered another pack.
