Care
General Maintenance: Wipe down your colocasias leaves every so often to keep dust off and to maintain their rich, beautiful colours.Temperature: Colocasias like to keep warm, so keep them inside at temperatures between 16°C-28°C. Any colder and they will go dormant, too warm and they will burn.
Light: Colocasia are sensitive to direct sunlight and will burn easily. Keep them in an East facing window, or a few feet away from a West or South facing window.
Watering: Colocasia love high humidity, but can't stand their soil soggy. They are prone to root rot, so water moderately when the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry. To increase humidity, keep a tray filled with clean water and pebbles underneath the pot. Don't let the pot stand in water.
Fertilizer: Fertilize once every 2-3 weeks with a diluted water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season (April - August).
Soil: Well-draining soil is a must for colocasia. A mixture that is organically rich will allow them to thrive.

Great resource for new or seasoned STR owners

This book is a must read for new STR business owners but seasoned owners can glean insights as well.
It covers many facets of owning and managing a short term rental that you should be aware of.
Of particular value are the pitfalls to avoid that I see many hosts make. The book also covers many of the management tools and strategies that are necessary to be a successful business owner, and to make it easier in the process. I believe anyone that reads this book will learn something new.

Short term rental starting point
Format: Kindle
Very concise explanation of what you would need to know to determine if you would want to “enter the game” and then help to do the next steps. Many people especially when interest rates were low thought STR would be an easy way to have passive income and long term investment BUT understanding the “game “ is crucial to making good decisions. This book can aide in those situations.

This is a great resource for learning things about your Airbnb listing and how to maximize your success, BUT if you are purchasing this book because you read in the Intro, "Elevate your hosting game with Chatgpt", please know the "free download" link/website shared does NOT exist/no longer works. Game changer for AirBnB hosting. I've though about this avenue, but there seemed to be so many hurdles, like figuring out the right pricing and making my place stand out. This book was is an excellent guide through it all, with practical tips on everything from interior decor to managing reviews.
