More than twelve thousand American Indians served in the United States military in World War I, even though many were not U.S. citizens and did not enjoy the benefits of enfranchisement. Using the words of the veterans themselves, as collected by Joseph K. Dixon (1856-1926), North American Indians in the Great War presents the experiences of American Indian veterans during World War I and after their return home. Dixon, a photographer, author, and Indian rights advocate, had hoped that documenting American Indian service in the military would aid the Indian struggle to obtain general U.S. citizenship. Dixon managed to document nearly a quarter of the Indians who had served but was unable to complete his work, and his records languished unexamined until now. Unlike other sources of information on Indian military service collected by government officials, Dixon's records come primarily from the veterans themselves. Their comments reveal pride in upholding an Indian tradition of military service as well as frustration with the U.S. government. Particularly in its immediacy and individuality, Dixon's documentation of American Indian veterans of World War I adds greatly to our understanding of the experiences of American Indians in the U.S. military.Binding Type: Paperback

False advertisement of Real Batana oil 😡

This product is NOT real Batana oil , it smells like a hair relaxer it’s more of a Clay formula which Batan oil is more of a thicker formulaI. I don’t recommend the purchase of this product .This is what the product looks like after allowing it to sit in the microwave, it did not melt into an oil. This is the result of what it looks like after removing it from the microwave in picture number two.

THIS STUFF WORKS!!!!!!
First of all - RUN, DON’T Walk & get this. IT WORKS!!! I kid you NOT, that I can literally feel sprouts of hair growing out of the roots of my head! After washing my hair And drying it, I part my hair into several sections and gently massage it into my scalp. After at least a day or so, I can feel the tickle in my scalp, it feels like grass slowly growing. I have plenty of hair, but I would love to actually see this product used on someone who doesn’t have hair like me. I am using the product because of a thinning spot that I have from a sew-in that I have had multiple times, and getting it parted in the same area for over a period of time. You can Not beat this product, especially for the price.

This is product has over ingredients, its made in China and the shelf life is 3 years! No naturall product has a shelf life of a 3 years or any storing instructions. Just an FYI when buying any product, the ingredient that's the most in the product is the first on this list of ingredients WATER is the first, Batana Oil is second to the last. the packaging say 100%, 100% what? Its truely not Batana Oil. I am sending this back ASAP and working on my own mix for my hair growth. I am dealing with scared alopecia and have been searching for things to help with my hair growth. I am tried of companies thinking they will take my money. I was not able to see the ingredients until I recieved the package, which is not a terriable way to sell a product.

We love this stuff

My baby had an infection in his hair that he got once he started daycare. We tried everything to kill the fungus. It got so bad I had to take him to the doctor and they finally gave him some antibiotics and medicated shampoo. His head was so sore and tinder he didn’t want anyone to touch his head. So imagine trying to wash his hair everyday. The shampoo killed the fugus and took his hair out where it was. I purchased this product. IT REALLY WORKS!!!!!! We’ve been using it a few weeks and we definitely see a difference.
