Headstay wire, ø14 mm / 25200 mm, Furlex 400 (1997-2014)The original wire for Furlex 400S E and TD. 1x19 strands, AISI 316 stainless steel. The purpose of the plastic tube at the top end is to center the wire in the luff extrusion and prevent chafe between wire and top extrusion. This bearing is permanently fixed with a talurit. The newer Furlex models, of the 4th generation, has a purpose made top guard and do not need the roller. Our recommendation is that the forestay wire is replaced after 20000
