Six Questions Your Coverall Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this commercial cleaning business unit financial model using our own research into the Austin market and janitorial cost structures. Key assumptions like the $600,000 year-one revenue and the 15% combined royalty and marketing fees are pre-populated with researched data specific to this janitorial franchise unit and are fully editable. This tool provides a clear view of how commercial janitorial service revenue streams scale over a five-year period.

When will this unit turn a profit?

You will see a positive EBITDA of $27,000 in your first year, but the real acceleration happens in year three when earnings hit $156,000. This assumes you hit your recurring contract targets and keep green cleaning supplies around 11% of sales while managing a team of four technicians.

Boost Your Bottom Line

  • Upsell specialized disinfection
  • Optimize technician routes
  • Reduce supply waste
[dynamic_pic9]

How much capital is required to launch?

You will need approximately $65,320 in initial capital to cover the franchise fee, specialized equipment, and service vehicles required for launch. This financial feasibility study for cleaning service franchise units ensures you account for every dollar from office computers to initial supplies inventory during the ramp-up.

Major Startup Costs

  • Service Vehicles: $18,000
  • Franchise Fee: $15,570
  • Cleaning Equipment: $12,500
[dynamic_pic10]

What is the expected return on investment?

This cleaning franchise investment return analysis projects a 6.4% Internal Rate of Return and a Return on Equity of 0.79 over five years. With a three-year payback period, the model demonstrates how initial investments transition into a $368,000 annual EBITDA by the end of year five.

Key Investor Metrics

  • 3-Year Payback Period
  • 6.4% IRR
  • 0.79 ROE
[dynamic_pic11]

Where is the monthly break-even point?

The unit hits break-even in January 2026, just one month after launch, assuming you deploy your cleaning contract pricing strategy effectively from day one. This rapid transition depends on maintaining a tight 15% cap on franchise-related fees while managing your $3,200 monthly warehouse rent and fixed utility costs.

Levers for Speed

  • Secure anchor contracts
  • Control technician overtime
  • Minimize supply shrinkage
[dynamic_pic12]

What is the cash runway and lowest point?

Knowing how to forecast cash flow for a new franchise unit is vital, as your lowest cash point is projected at $1,130,000 in January 2028. This reflects the capital needed to support the $403,200 in recurring service revenue expected that year while scaling your technician fleet to five full-time employees.

Cash Flow Protection

  • Stage vehicle acquisitions
  • Tighten AR collections
  • Phase technician hiring
[dynamic_pic13]

How do different scenarios change the outcome?

Forecasting recurring revenue for commercial janitorial contracts requires testing Low, Medium, and High cases to see how a 10% revenue swing affects your $250,000 year-four EBITDA. High-case outcomes depend on your ability to upsell specialized disinfection fees, which are projected to grow from $80,000 to $195,313 over five years.

Drive High-Case Results

  • Aggressive B2B networking
  • High client retention
  • Superior crew productivity

Waste of money
Color: Orange
So much for indestructible, it wasn’t in my home five minutes before the leg came off. No exaggeration! Dixy had the toy in her mouth and I reached up to wiggle it and the leg came off in my hand and no Dixy wasn’t pulling away. I only purchased this toy because it claimed to be indestructible. After shipping and handling it cost me $30. I justified the cost because I thought it would be worth it for Dixy to have a toy that would last. Isn’t that the impression you get by the discrimination “indestructible” To add insult to injury this company sent a second one for another $30 and it really ticks me off that the product discrimination on even the return label still describes it as an indestructible plush dog toy. Please don’t waste your money this not as advertised. There’s nothing about this product to justify the outrageous expense for a toy that didn’t last five minutes.

Scam
Color: Brown+Blue, Color: Brown+Blue
Zero stars! What a disgrace. I waited weeks due to the delivery date changing after I placed the order. Then the shipping went up and cost more than the toy. It lasted 5 mins after opening, and it's head fell off. It was not even sewn on. So much for indestructible!!! Then when I returned, they sent a auto comment asking if I would keep it and take a 50% refund. No freaking way!! I'm so irritated right now.

This is not even chew resistant!!
Color: Brown
If there was an option for ZERO stars that would be this. Within 5 minutes my little 11 pound Havanese had all the ears off, then out came the stuffing. He had the little dog, and a green duck. I had to take the duck away to sew it….then he still had studding everywhere…and that was the little dog. Throwing stuffing and pieces away….I should have put these right back in the bags they came in. In no way ate these even chew “resistant “!!!! Probably just look good onna shelf.👎👎
