You’ve seen the cab pulling livestock trailers, rigid 40 ft trailers, curtainsiders, and flatbeds and now we see it with a gleaming piece of new tooling in the shape of the cylindrical tanker. Our 1:76 scale (OO scale 18.2 cm long) DAF XF Euro 6 Cylindrical Tanker is in the William Nicol livery and is a very welcome addition to the extensive Oxford Haulage range.
William Nicol (Aberdeen) Ltd is a leading bulk liquid and powder transport and logistics specialist in the UK. They operate throughout the UK and Europe, and their clients include some of the country's largest petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, shipping, and foodstuffs companies.
The company transports both hazardous and non-hazardous products in their fleet of specialist tankers, all of which are fitted with equipment such as compressors and pumps. They are the only company in the North East of Scotland to operate stainless steel tankers, which are a necessity for products that contain corrosive elements.
It has a fleet of over 30 tractor units and 50 tanker trailers, operating up to 44 tonnes gross weight. These specialist vehicles transport a wide range of products, including oil, minerals, pharmaceutical ingredients, lubricants, and drilling fluids. William Nicol also transports a wide range of agricultural commodities and foodstuffs, and all tanker trailers devoted to these sectors are TASCC accredited.
