The MWC NATO chronograph in a stainless steel case is designed to meet the needs of military aircrews, airline pilots, and GA pilots. While based on the specifications used by other leading manufacturers of NATO chronographs, this watch includes several improvements for enhanced operation and visibility. The case size is 45.5mm, and the chronograph uses a high-performance VK68 hybrid movement.

Key Features:

  • 24-Hour Sub-Dial: This chronograph features a 24-hour (Military Time) subsidiary dial, allowing users to track time in a 24-hour format. This feature is essential for personnel working extended periods without natural daylight exposure.
  • Hybrid Movement: The VK68 hybrid movement combines the characteristics of an automatic watch, such as a sweep second hand, with the accuracy of a quartz movement. This setup provides the appearance and feel of a mechanical watch with the precision of quartz.
  • Maintenance and Accuracy: The hybrid movement requires significantly less maintenance than mechanical chronographs and is much less prone to long-term reliability issues. The factory-rated accuracy is +/-20 seconds per month, which is vastly superior to mechanical chronographs that are accurate to +/- 2 or 3 seconds per day.

Operation:

When you push the top button, you get a crisp response, and the timing hand starts ticking in 1/5-second increments, similar to a mechanical chronograph. The stop button at 5 o’clock provides the same crisp feel when stopping the chronograph, and pressing it again snaps the hand straight back to 12. The hybrid movement is powered by a battery, regulated by a quartz crystal, and controlled by precision mechanical components.

Practical Benefits:

These models are ideal for those who own multiple watches because they don’t need to be wound before wearing them. All they require is a battery swap every few years and a check of the water resistance. One unique aspect is the absence of a tick, making it indistinguishable from a mechanical watch based on behavior alone.

Technical Specifications:

  • Case Diameter: 44mm (excluding crown) and 45.5mm (including crown)
  • Lug to Lug: 49mm
  • Thickness: 13.5mm
  • Weight inc Strap: 86 g
  • Dial Color: Black
  • Case Material: 316L stainless steel
  • Caseback: 316L stainless steel
  • Crown: Screw down locking
  • Water Resistance: 10 atm (100m or 330ft)
  • Crystal: Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating*
  • Strap: 22mm NATO (supplied with 1 x black and 1 x grey NATO nylon webbing straps)
  • Illumination: Super Luminova for maximum nighttime performance
  • Movement: VK68 Meca-quartz
  • Battery: Silver Oxide SR936SW
  • Battery Life: Approx. 3 years

Benefits of Sapphire Crystal:

Synthetic sapphire is extremely strong, shatter-resistant, and scratch-resistant, making it ideal for military and security personnel, police officers, and active outdoor enthusiasts. These groups account for over 70% of our customer base. Our observations show that over 90% of incidents involving cracked watch crystals occur with mineral glass. Even hardened mineral crystals do not match the durability of sapphire. Sapphire crystals are strengthened through heat treatment to remove internal stresses and coated with two layers of anti-reflective coating. Although sapphire crystals are more expensive, they offer superior longevity, resilience, and performance, justifying their use in higher-end watches.

The MWC NATO chronograph in stainless steel combines modern technology's reliability and precision with the rugged design and functionality needed for professional use. Its robust features and user-friendly design make it an exceptional choice for both professionals and enthusiasts.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
