"You know that old phrase, 'Teach a penguin to cuss, and you'll never have to buy another comedy record' I'm sure you do. But what about it's codicil? 'Teach a guitarist to play synth, and you'll never have to buy a new age record?' If you know that one, you might well be put off by the fact this album features one of New Zealand's most wickedly post-tongue guitar players fiddling about with oscillators and analog synths (in concert with a guy who does this stuff all the time). But you need not fear. The only New Age being brunted about here is the same one Fahey disemboweled back in '97. An ornery cuss, it has lived in the cracks some-damn-place, only re-emerging now that it has been called forth by Bruce Russell and Noel Meek. Much of the sound on Classical Music (how Fahey would have loved everything about this record!) makes me think of Chris Marker's classic film, La Jetée (1962). As you certainly recall, the central motif in that film is the main quay at Aéroport de Paris-Orly, where visitors gather to watch the jets land and take off (just as I did at New York's Idlewild Airport when I was a kid). Well, particularly on the second side, this record is a jolt of aural déjà vu for me. If I close my eyes I can almost see a parade of 707s and DC-8s careening around the flats of Long Island, missing collisions by what seem like a series of miracles to me. Mr. Russell's last LP for us was 2016's Howling and Instability at High Volume Settings (FTR 219LP), and it is a sheer pleasure to realize how unstable he can be on instruments besides the guitar. Mr. Meek is wildly successful at this as well, and the combination is as bracing as an early morning slap of Old Spice. Step up for blast of Classical Music-style reality today. Great quality and long lasting

My dog loves these, and I feel good giving them to her. They last a very long time. They don't have any odor whatsoever. She chews them aggressively, but they don't leave as much slobber or goo as some other chewables. They are pricey, but if you just bring them out for a special treat, they will last longer. I bring it out when we're having dinner, and I don't want her to bother us! When she gets it down to a nub, I stuff it inside one of her puzzle toys and she is still very interested in it because I guess to her it must really smell great even though I can't smell anything at all. So she will try to dig it out of the puzzle toy and spend lots of time doing that, so I feel like that gives some extra value.

My dog likes this brand
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This is the only brand of Himalayan chew that my dog likes. I’ve heard other brands come with an off smell but I’ve never noticed a bad smell with this one. This is the same version they sell at Whole Foods so I trust that the ingredients are good quality. My dog loves to chip away at this thing and it makes a huge mess but I deal with it to make him happy.

Best chew toy I’ve ordered

My dog usually destroys chew toys in 30mins or less he has been chewing on this toy non stop the past 4 hours. He hasn’t conquered it yet and that’s great for us as it allows us to get things accomplished while he’s occupied. I will definitely order another one after he eventually breaks this down

Great quality, dogs loved them

I didn't know what my dogs would think of the Yak cheese but they loved it. I later tried another brand but it was splintering easily. This one kept a nice solid texture the whole time the dogs were enjoying it. Would definitely recommend.

Not good for sensitive tummies or IBD

Unfortunately my shepherd got bad diarrhea even with just half one. But the product smells really good. Like a nice Smoky flavor. I used to feed to my little poodle girl who had lots of allergies and sensitivities and very small amounts occasionally. But unfortunately my GSD can't handle much of anything so I don't hold it against the product, but if you have a very sensitive tummy dog, give a small amount in the beginning to try.
