No. MaggieFrame magnet hoops have a smooth, precision-finished surface that is safe for most fabrics. However, for ultra-slippery materials or sensitive silk, some users prefer to apply painter’s tape or thin nylon film on the contact area for extra protection. This optional step helps keep fabrics pristine while maintaining the hoop’s firm magnetic grip.
