Overview
The Red Spider Sumo Crab is a captivating and somewhat rare species known for its vivid red coloration and robust size. Characterized by its striking appearance and sumo-like stature, this crab is an intriguing addition to any brackish or marine aquarium. Its unique behaviors and fascinating feeding rituals make it a specimen of high interest among advanced aquarists.
Origin
Native to the mangrove swamps and estuaries of Southeast Asia, the Red Spider Sumo Crab is accustomed to environments where freshwater meets the sea. This species thrives in areas with plenty of hiding spots and substrates to explore, mimicking the complexity of their natural habitat.
Feeding
This omnivorous crustacean has a varied diet that includes detritus, algae, and small invertebrates. Supplementing their diet with quality crab pellets, blanched vegetables, and occasional live or frozen foods will ensure their nutritional needs are met. Their foraging nature also helps in tank cleanliness.
Tank Mates
Compatible with a variety of peaceful to semi-aggressive fish and invertebrates that thrive in similar water conditions. Ideal tank mates include mudskippers, archerfish, and other brackish-water species. Avoid housing with small, delicate fish or highly aggressive species that may harm the crab.
Aggression
The Red Spider Sumo Crab is generally peaceful but may show territorial behavior towards its own kind or similar-sized crustaceans. Providing ample space and hiding places can minimize aggression in the aquarium.
Experience Level
Suited for intermediate to advanced aquarists, particularly those with experience in maintaining brackish aquariums. Knowledge of the specific water parameters and environmental needs of this species is essential for their wellbeing.
Water Parameters
  • Salinity: 1.005 - 1.020 SG
  • Temperature: 75-85°F (24-29°C)
  • pH: 7.5 - 8.2
  • Hardness: Moderate to High
Maintaining stable water conditions and a well-filtered tank is crucial for the health of the Red Spider Sumo Crab. Regular water changes and monitoring of water parameters are recommended to mimic their natural brackish conditions.

Incorporate the Red Spider Sumo Crab into your collection and marvel at the dynamic and colorful personality it brings to your aquatic ecosystem. With proper care, this exotic species will be a captivating centerpiece in any suitable aquarium.

Hard to put on but easy to come off
Size: 12-18 Months Toddler, Color: Sebastian Shark Blue
As the title says, the shoes were a bit hard to put on and perhaps that was because we were doing it for the first time . However, they would come off super easily and so we lost one of the shoes the second time the baby wore them. That was a bummer as they aren't particularly inexpensive. We didn't really get to try them out as much as we'd have liked but based on what we saw, they looked comfortable and durable. Baby loved the shark design.

Held up for well for 5 months. Fit my son’s chubby feet like no other shoe.
My son has been wearing this shoe since he was 9 months old and was cruising furniture. I bought the 6-12 month size. He started walking at 10 months and is 14 months now. He’s still wearing this shoe and it has held up well. I have him barefoot in the house and mostly use it for when he’s in the back yard, at the gym childcare and when we are out and about. He wears shoes for several hours a day at least, though I bought the Robeez sandals at the start of summer and have been switching between the two pairs. My son has wide feet and doesn’t really fit in anything but soft sole shoes. His feet are about 5” long now and these shoes are getting too small. It’s almost time to size up! They’ve treated us well. Plus they are super cute and match every outfit. He giggles when I put them on.

Cute, different, and good quality
I had these for my kids when they were little. I am now buying them for my first grandchild. They appear to be the same good quality they were years ago. I highly recommend : )

Great shoes for the little one taking his/her first steps
Great shoes for the little one taking his/her first steps!! I actually ordered 2 pairs, one for my son in the 12-18 months (even tho he was 10 months old) and a 6-12 month for a friend. The 6-12 month fit my son perfect!! (my son was in a size 5) but I knew they would only last a few weeks so I kept the 12-18 month ones and he started wearing them. He seemed to like them, never tried taking them off and they were easier to walk in than socks but for some reason the top of the foot area is HUGE! They stayed on no problem but lots of wiggle room in the top... He is now running and wears shoes with a thicker sole for the rocks but we still love these for inside when it is too cold to go barefoot. I would say the 12-18 month fit like an average size 6.

Perfect shoes
They are so lovely and soft my granddaughter love them. Perfect size , so easy to put them on for the stretchability. I’m looking for a new pair in other color. 🥰
