The superior performance of Corning's cryogenic vials is delivered through a combination of several features.

- Full working temperature range from autoclaving (+121°C) to liquid nitrogen storage (-196°C)
- Certified nonpyrogenic and DNase-/ RNase-free
- Made from medical grade polypropylene
- Internal thread style with a silicone washer for a secure seal
- Self-standing design
- Sterilized by gamma radiation
- 2 mL capacity with round bottom
- Black graduations with large white marking spot
