Antique Chinese export Thousand Butterfly soup set, featuring six complete place settings—each with a hand-painted coupe, matching lid, and saucer. Richly decorated in the traditional Thousand Butterfly pattern with vibrant hues of green, blue, iron oxide, yellow, and black. Each piece is meticulously hand-painted with slight variations and bears a red “China” or “Made in China” mark on the underside, in accordance with U.S. import regulations passed in 1891. Late 19th to early 20th century. A rare and collectible set ideal for display or use.
