Over het Special 22 model

De basis van de Special 22 Semi-Hollow is het klassieke Custom 22 model. Dat wil zeggen: maple top met een mahogany body en hals, een 25" mensuur en natuurlijk een betrouwbaar en uitstekend werkend PRS Patented Gen III Tremolo systeem. Qua elementen is het ook top notch, want deze Special 22 is uitgerust met 58/15LT pickups in de brug en hals positie met split-coil mogelijkheden op beide humbuckers. In tegenstelling tot de "normale" Custom 22, biedt de Special 22 de mogelijkheid om de beide humbuckers afzonderlijk van elkaar te splitten naar een prachtig, helder enkelspoels geluid. Om het geheel af te maken is de Special 22 Semi-Hollow voorzien van een Narrowfield middle pickup, waardoor je in de zogenaamde tussen standen (positie 2 en 4) zeer fraaie Strat-achtige sounds te voorschijn kunt toveren.
