Fiberon™ is polymakers family of fibre-reinforced composite filaments developed to provide outstanding mechanical performance for a range of engineering applications.

Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 is a carbon fibre reinforced nylon filament featuring 20% chopped carbon fibres by weight. Within Polymakers range of nylon filaments, Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 delivers best in class stiffness, strength and heat resistance and superior z axis tensile strength to outperform many other functional 3D printing materials in "dry state". Together with 20% industrial chopped carbon fibres, Polymakers Fibre-Adhesion™ technology optimises the surface chemistry of the fibres to achieve better dispersion and bonding to the Nylon 6 matrix and delivers an outstanding filament for functional applications.

Features

  • Excellent Stiffness & Strength - Featuring a tensile modulus up to 8.4 GPA on the XY axis and 3.7 GPA on the Z axis, Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 is well suited for high performance industrial and engineering applications. Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 combines extreme stiffness and best-in-class tensile strength. Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 is an excellent choice for dry applications[1] requiring stiffness and durability such as automotive brackets, jigs, ESD safe fixtures, aerospace, prosthetics and engineering.
  • Excellent Heat Resistance - Featuring a high heat resistance up to 215°C after annealing[2], Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 offers excellent heat resistance for demanding applications where heat and stress are critical design factors. This material lends itself perfectly to functioning automotive applications where a combination of heat resistance and mechanical properties are required.
  • Outstanding Layer Adhesion - Most fiber reinforced materials show a decrease in z-axis layer adhesion when compared with their non-fiber reinforced Nylons, producing a part that is only stronger on the X-Y axis but detrimental to the Z axis. Polymakers new technology in Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 not only solves this problem but actually increases Z axis tensile strength creating more isotropic parts that are strong in every direction.
  • Warp-Free™ - Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 features Polymakers Warp-Free™ technology to deliver a reliable Nylon filament with excellent dimensional stability and near-zero warpage. This is achieved by the fine control of microstructure and crystallization behaviour of Nylon, which enables the material to fully release the internal stress before solidification. The Warp-Free™ technology in Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 is designed to work best with minimal bed temperatures.
  • Wear Resistant and Tough - Parts printed in Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 display excellent toughness and wear resistant properties.
  • Improved Printability – Unlike many other Nylon filaments, Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 is extremely easy to work with, exhibiting excellent dimensional stability. It is compatible with most filament-based 3D printers with no heated bed or chamber required!
  • Uncompromised Quality - Polymakers leading quality control process and rigorous in-house testing ensure reliable printing and consistency across spools and batches.

[1] Most Nylon parts in the real world undergo a process called "Moisture conditioning" which improves toughness and flexibility of the Nylon while reducing tensile strength and stiffness. Unless protected with a moisture barrier, PA6-CF shows a greater change in mechanical properties when subjected to water / high humidity in comparison to long-chain nylon filaments like PA12-CF or PA612-CF. In simple terms PA6-CF will typically offer the best properties in a dry application, but for a wet or high humidity application a longer chain nylon such as PA612 or PA12 may be better. See "Specifications & FAQ" tab to learn more about what moisture conditioning is, how it works and if it's relevant to your application.
[2] Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 displays the best mechanical and thermal properties when fully crystallized. The printed part will not reach full crystallization during the printing process, an additional step is required: Annealing. Fiberon™ PA6-CF20 can be annealed in the oven at 100˚C for 16 hours right after the printing process.

Technical Data

All PA6-CF20 specimens were printed with 300°C nozzle temperature, 50°C bed temperature, cooling fan OFF. Samples were printed with 100% infil, 2 shells and 3 top & bottom layers.

All samples were annealed after printing at 100°C for 16h.

Nylon is a semi-crystalline material, it's crystalline regions offer many properties, but in particular their structure deliver the heat resistance that nylon is known for. Annealing after printing is a critical process to achieve consistent crystallinity and complete the production process of nylon parts.

Mechanicla Properties

Dry state represents when PA6-CF20 part is printed and annealed.
Wet state represents if the PA6-CF20 part were submerged in water for 48 hours.

If your part is exposed to reasonable humidity (70% RH) but isn't exposed to water, your part would become moisture conditioned. To enter the wet state would require very high humidity, steam or submersion.

Nylon 6 based materials are moisture sensitive and their mechanical properties change. As they absorb moisture the toughness and flexibility increase, while tensile strength and stiffness decrease. This process is not permanent, if the part were dried, it would regain strength and stiffness.

Solid breakdown of real estate investing for beginners
Format: Kindle
Aye, this book actually surprised me. It’s super beginner-friendly and doesn’t just throw a bunch of complicated real estate jargon at you. I think in Chapter 5, they covered creative financing options, which I found pretty dope. There’s a part where they explain “subject-to financing” basically, how you can take over a mortgage without making a new one, which could mean little to no down payment. Didn’t even know that was a thing. The book also lays out step-by-step strategies for getting started, from choosing a strategy to closing deals. Some parts felt a little surface-level, and I kinda wish they went deeper into financing for people with bad credit, but overall, it’s solid. If you’re new to real estate and want a simple, no-BS breakdown, this one’s worth checking out.

A must have!!
Format: Kindle
As someone who was completely new to real estate, The Real Estate Investing and Rental Property 2-in-1 Boxset was exactly what I needed to get started. The first book walks you through the basics of real estate investing in 7 simple steps, making the entire process feel manageable, even if you don’t have much money or experience. It was reassuring to learn how regular people can get insanely wealthy through real estate, and the clear strategies for finding and financing your first deal were incredibly practical. The second book dives deeper into rental property investing, covering everything from finding the right property to managing short- and long-term rentals. I found the step-by-step guides on property management and scaling your portfolio especially helpful. The detailed sections on deal analysis and avoiding bad investments really boosted my confidence. The bonuses included, like the apartment investing guide and tax planning tips, were just icing on the cake. If you're looking to break into real estate or expand your rental empire, this boxset gives you everything you need in a straightforward, easy-to-follow format. I highly recommend it for beginners and seasoned investors alike!

Queer LitRPG at it's finest
Format: Kindle
It's been a while since I've read this genre. This is by far one of the best books in the LitRPG genre that I've ever read though. It has all of the trappings of a good LitRPG book, plus it has an actual plot and fleshed out characters. And our MC, Cat doesn't start off OP at all. Plus the fact that it's a queer woman as the MC. Beautiful. The snark from her AI companion, Mayalis is really fun as well. Lots of the reviews I've noticed seem to be reviewing the entire series as a whole, but I'm just going to stick to what I've read in each book separately. The story is fast paced, with short, bite sized chapters that lead you to zipping through. Because the next chapter is only a few more pages, you'll take a break then...or maybe the chapter after. I certainly couldn't put it down. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment of the story to find out what happens next as well as to watch Cat's power grow. There is no romance yet in the story really, though there is a somewhat established relationship involving one of Cat's fellow orphans, Lucy. There is the promise for more romance ahead, and I'm looking forward to it.
