The man wears a waistcoat and a cartridge belt over his thobe (long shirt). He is also wearing a ghutra (headscarf), the ends of which blow in front of his face. The camel stands in profile, facing towards the left. It is saddled with an Omani style wooden saddle. Trees and bushes grow behind a ridge of sand in the far distance. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.

Runs large for a slim fit

I followed the size guide and ended up with an item that was to large in all areas. It did not fit like a slim fit. The fabric is odd and does not feel great against the skin. I love the design. I really wish it would have worked.
