The Montblanc Meisterstuck The Origin Collection Limited Edition 100 Fountain Pen stands at the highest tier of the Meisterstuck centennial celebration, created to commemorate 100 years of Montblanc's most important writing instrument. Limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, the edition carries unusual significance even within Montblanc's modern collector landscape. The Meisterstuck is not simply another successful pen model - it is arguably the single most recognizable fountain pen ever produced, and within that lineage, the Meisterstuck 149 has long stood as the flagship expression of the collection. A centennial edition positioned at the very top of that hierarchy inevitably occupies a rare place in contemporary Montblanc history.

Rather than approaching the anniversary with restraint, Montblanc treated the Limited Edition 100 as a full-scale celebration of the Meisterstuck's legacy through precious materials, historical references, and highly specialized craftsmanship. The result is a writing instrument constructed in skeletonized solid Au750 Signature Gold with hand engraving inspired by archival Montblanc motifs, translucent green lacquer beneath the engraved surfaces, gemstone-set details throughout, and a hand-engraved jewelry nib unlike anything found in the standard Meisterstuck collection.

Craftsmanship & Design

The cap and barrel are formed in skeletonized solid Au750 Signature Gold, allowing the translucent green lacquer beneath the engraved gold framework to emerge through the openwork structure. The layered interaction between polished gold, deep green lacquer, and sharply defined engraving gives the pen an almost architectural quality while still preserving the unmistakable proportions of the Meisterstuck silhouette.

The engraving itself references decorative patterns associated with early Montblanc design language, subtly linking the pen back to the formative years of the Meisterstuck line introduced in 1924. Historical clip styling has also been revived for the edition, with the clip set with a 3mm tsavorite that visually connects to the gemstone details found across the rest of the pen.

The Cap Top

The cap top serves as one of the defining elements of the edition. At its center sits a Montblanc-cut diamond representing the snowcap emblem, surrounded by tsavorites in varying sizes that create a vivid green halo around the stone. More than a decorative flourish, the cap top transforms the upper portion of the pen into something closer to fine jewelry than conventional writing instrument trim.

Viewed from above, the composition immediately distinguishes the piece from traditional Meisterstuck production. The interplay between the diamond, green gemstones, and solid gold construction reinforces the ceremonial nature of the edition and underscores Montblanc's intention for the Limited Edition 100 to stand as the definitive centennial interpretation of the Meisterstuck.

The Gem-Set Hand-Engraved Nib

The fountain pen is fitted with a hand-crafted Au750 18k Signature Gold nib featuring special anniversary hand-engraving created exclusively for the collection. The nib incorporates the number "100" along with the years "1924" and "2024", directly tying the writing instrument to the Meisterstuck centennial itself. Set into the nib is a 2mm tsavorite, extending the gemstone language of the cap top and clip into the writing experience itself.

Among modern Montblanc releases, gem-set nibs remain exceptionally uncommon, particularly when paired with dedicated hand engraving and precious-metal construction of this level. The nib therefore becomes far more than a functional writing component - it serves as one of the clearest collector markers separating the Limited Edition 100 from conventional Meisterstuck production.

Writing Experience

Despite its jewelry-level detailing and substantial solid gold construction, the pen remains unmistakably rooted in the writing character associated with the Meisterstuck 149 lineage. The proportions are generous, the balance deliberate, and the nib tuned for a smooth, controlled writing experience with measured flow and a refined tactile response.

The weight of the solid Au750 Signature Gold construction gives the instrument an unmistakable sense of presence in hand. It feels intentionally substantial without becoming unwieldy, preserving the authoritative writing posture that has made the larger Meisterstuck models enduring favorites among collectors and daily users alike.

Collector Significance

Within the broader history of Montblanc limited editions, the Meisterstuck The Origin Collection Limited Edition 100 occupies an unusually important position. It commemorates the centennial of arguably the most famous fountain pen model ever produced, while simultaneously serving as the most technically ambitious and materially elaborate interpretation within the anniversary collection itself.

Its combination of solid Au750 Signature Gold construction, hand engraving, gemstone-set cap top, tsavorite-set hand-engraved nib, and an edition size of only 100 pieces worldwide places it firmly among the most important modern Meisterstuck collector releases. For many Montblanc enthusiasts, the convergence of the Meisterstuck centennial, flagship 149 lineage, and ultra-limited production gives the edition the potential to become one of the defining Montblanc anniversary pieces of the modern era.

Culinary grade matcha. Its okay for mixing in small amounts with other flavors to drink
Flavor Name: Culinary Matcha-3.53oz
I ordered this Matcha for the affordability. The matcha I’ve been drinking is more expensive and as I have been drinking more Matcha lately I wanted to try to get more for my money. Now, I don’t want to sound like a Matcha snob, but I really wasn’t happy with the quality or the taste of this Matcha. It was lower quality than I was expecting. First of all it’s a duller green color, which is just appearance I understand and I can overlook that, but it says something about the quality of the harvest. The taste, however, is much more bitter than I am accustomed to. Not an enjoyable clean Matcha flavor. I have found that it absolutely needs some sweetener and milk to make it passable and I’ve even mixed a little cocoa powder with it to mask the dusty flavor. That helps. Also, it is not ground very finely as other Matcha powders. I can feel the Matcha particulate in the tea when I drink it and it settles to the bottom of the cup very quickly. If you’re going to be cooking with Matcha, then this is fine. Or if you are going to be mixing it with milk and sweetener or other flavors, then this isn’t too bad. But if you like to enjoy the pure flavor of Matcha tea with nothing added to it then I would not recommend this one, it’s pretty harsh. Still, it is very affordable and it can get you through when money is tight.
