Firefly Scarves are woven with luxurious, extra-fine organic merino wool that is hand-dyed with our own unique tie-dyeing technique. Available in a range of dark blue and green hues, the dashes of white stand out against a dark ground.  Woven with our hand-dyed Firefly organic merino wool yarn, no two scarves are exactly alike. These uniquely beautiful scarves capture the feeling of fireflies shimmering in a dark summer sky.

We use an unusual resist dyeing technique, that gives our yarn natural flecks of undyed color popping against the dark base.   Woven by hand on antique looms in our Maine studios, these beautiful scarves are the ultimate in sustainable luxury.  Each handcrafted scarf is unique.  The Swans Island weaver’s mark woven into each scarf is the sign of authenticity.
