Both the cross-drilled holes and slots contribute to this process, ultimately elevating braking performance. Crafted from high-quality, heat-treated cast iron, these replacement rings are engineered to endure rigorous usage, providing a braking solution that excels even in challenging conditions. The advanced metallurgy utilized not only fortifies the strength of the rings but also enhances thermal stability, creating a robust defense against brake fade. This reliability holds true even in the most demanding driving scenarios, ensuring your braking system delivers consistent performance.
DBA’s 5000 Series direct replacement rotors are offered in two options: complete assemblies, where the hat and rings are bolted together for straightforward replacement, or as individual replacement parts, allowing for the replacement of hats or rings as needed.
The option to replace only the cast iron rotor rings, while keeping their previously used aluminium hats is not only cost effective for those that are hard on brakes, but it allows for easy replacement of DBA hats or rings.
We recommend that aluminium hats should always be thoroughly inspected for damage and wear when only replacing the 5000 Series rings, along with the use of DBA spec bolts and nuts. When tightening the NAS nut and bolt assembly a 13 Nm or 9.6 ft lb of torque is recommended.
