FASTENERS // You choose!

ALLIGATOR CLIP: 
Medium Clip: 2 3/8'' wide - recommended for thin to medium hair. Our most versatile fastener because you can style front pieces of hair back or wear in a half pony with the additional use of an elastic. AND can clip onto some shirts too!

BARRETTES: These Modern French Barrettes are made with a higher quality metal than the Spring French Barrette. It still has two ways for me to affix it to the bow, so there is no loss of strength or quality of hold. It evenly distributes the hair, because it doesn't have the removable spring insert. If you are really particular about the style of barrette you wear, please inquire more before purchasing as these are made to order. I prefer the large one myself but if you have thin hair, you can choose the alligator clip or medium barrette.

Modern Medium Barrette: 2 1/2" wide - recommended for fine or thin to medium thickness hair.
Modern Large Barrette: 3 3/8" wide - recommended for medium to thick hair. 

Note: these barrettes have a tight hold. For a full half up or pony, I recommend using a clear elastic under the bow and then affix a smaller amount of hair in the fastener.

This is one of the good ones. There are other brands just as good, and manny brands are worse, but this handles well, rolls down easily, doesn't come off at all easily, and adapts to dips and curves like a champ. Appropriately heavy and dead, I'm happy with the way it smothers panel resonances and even at muffling direct sound, like a big hand over my Uncle Harry's eternally noisy mouth. You can rip the foil but you have to work hard at doing that. Remember to buy a brayer; you can roll overlaps nice and thin. Also remember to pre-wipe the sheet metal with a decent solvent like acetone or Stoddard/Varsol. It should last forever.

Good stuff, but watch the temp

I used this in my single cab pickup truck (89 ford.) It only took half the box (10 sheets or 25 square feet) to do the floors, but I bought the big box because I plan to do the doors, back wall, and maybe the roof as well. One thing I learned is that the temperature matters when you’re doing the installation. It was around 55F when I started in the evening, and when it dipped down into the 40s the sheets would not stick to the metal, and were hard to compress with the roller. That’s why I ended up only doing the floors and not any vertical surfaces; i will have to wait for a nice hot day. The other thing is that the foil layer on top is razor sharp at the edges, definitely wear gloves! I didn’t notice until after but I have little papercuts all over my fingers. Aside from those things, the install was easy and straightforward. The sheets cut easily with scissors, and any goo that ends up on your hands or scissors can be cleaned up with acetone (nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner. I would use this stuff again.

Supports DP Alt + Power Delivery from one source
This is one of the very, very few USB-C hubs out there that successfully pushes DisplayPort Alt and 100w PD functionality from one source cable to one device. My monitor has a USB-C DP alt port that also pushes 95w PD and this hub successfully pushes both of those to my laptop, phone, and android handheld console. The marketing material says something about USB PD cannot work with DP alt, but it seems to be working fine for me so who knows. With this little hub in-between the link from the monitor to the device, I can now add a USB ethernet adapter and game controller, and I only ever have to plug one USB-C cable into my device (and I am using a USB4 extension cable with no issues as well) and it all works perfectly!

This adapter is unique in that it supports reverse charging + video on the same port. I use this with an LG monitor (60W PD) and an M1 Pro Mac.
