Een oogkussen wordt veelal gebruikt om de ogen te beschermen tegen licht en een zachte ontspannende druk te geven op en rond de ogen. Bij het ontspannen van de ogen door middel van een oogkussen kunnen ook de wenkbrauwen, jukbeenderen en slapen zich meer ontspannen. Oogkussens helpen ook bij hoofdpijn en gespannen spieren. 

Het oogkussen is gevuld met een combinatie van lijnzaad en lavendel. Het lijnzaad in de kussentjes zorgt ervoor dat ze gemakkelijk plooibaar zijn en dus meegeven met de diverse vormen rond de ogen.

De toegevoegde lavendel is een eenvoudige en effectieve manier om te genieten van de wonderbaarlijke effecten van lavendel aromatherapie. Leg het oogkussen over je gesloten ogen, adem diep in, ontspan en geniet van het kalmerende effect van lavendel.

Reiniging

Buitenhoes van het oogmasker is afneembaar, let op, deze kan alleen door middel van handwas gereinigd worden. Vervolgens leg of hang je de hoes te drogen. De binnenhoes is niet geschikt om te wassen. Tevens is het een optie om het oogkussen 30 seconden in de magnetron te verwarmen, op deze manier is het product gesteriliseerd. 

Verkoelen en verwarmen

Je kunt het oogkussen 10 minuten in de vriezer leggen voor een verkoelend effect tijdens gebruik. Als de koelte minder wordt kun je het kussen omdraaien, waardoor je nog wat langer kunt genieten van de verkoeling. Voor vermoeide ogen helpt het juist als het oogkussen net wat warmer is dan het lichaam. Stop het oogkussen voor 30 tot maximaal 60 seconden in de magnetron op een hoge temperatuur.

Let op: Zorg dat het kussen niet te warm is wanneer je het op de ogen of huid plaatst!

What do you do, when your only viable financial prospects are to move to even more remote, cold, dark and desolate land where you are part of a corporate mining operation dredging sands for valuable resources, living onsite in a company owned dormitory? If you are familiar with Beaton's comic strip work, you'll see familiar reference to the genesis of it here, but Ducks is a far more serious graphic novel. Both engaging and often times bleak, Ducks gives a wonderful window into the reality of Canada's oil industry, and the humanity of the people, who are nothing more than cogs in a machine, that run it.

What is NOT to love about Lynda Barry?

I’ve been reading Lynda Barry since the 80s and am currently at work on a graphic novel, that I’m writing and illustrating. This book delves into the connections of words and images, how to conjure and connect, especially with the whole creative vibe. She works with young people and the pipeline to that cerebral communication is appreciated and thought provoking as well, as my work will be geared to a younger audience. This is for anyone who interested in the process of sequential art, creating comics, characters, connecting with creative elements, it’s also a visually stunning book (again, the nerd in me, loved all the cross-references with the visual and other, using calligraphic and other historic, formal art elements along with the more personal character, visual creations and exercises. Thought-provoking and image inducing, indeed!
