Bloei en besjes Vlier Sambucus nigra 'Golden Tower'

Deze redelijk snel groeiende vlier struik wordt tussen de 3 en 5 meter hoog en geeft geurende, witte bloemen in schermvorm medio mei/juni/juli. Na de bloei komen de glanzend zwarte bessen, deze steken mooi af bij het gelige blad. De besjes zijn populair bij vogels en ook voor de mens eetbaar. Deze bladverliezende heester is winterhard en laat zich goed combineren met andere struiken in grote borders. Ook vormt het een perfecte achtergrond van een vaste planten border vol bloei.

Standplaats en bodem Vlier Sambucus nigra 'Golden Tower'

Deze Zuilvlier heester groeit compact en opgaand. Qua standplaats heeft deze sierheester weinig wensen, het doet het zowel in de zon als halfzon goed. Qua bodem heeft de Vlier weinig eisen, als deze maar als normaal bestempeld wordt, dus niet extreem zuur of extreem arm is.

Deze zuilvormige Vlier Sambucus nigra 'Golden Tower' is geen wintergroene struik en daarom erg leuk om te combineren met een groenblijvende bodembedekker. Ontdek ook onze kant-en-klare bosplantsoen borderpakketten. Hiermee creëert u meer foerageer mogelijkheden voor bijen, vlinders en vogels. In de kant en klare bosplantsoen borderpakketten hebben wij al verschillende tuinplanten voor u gecombineerd. Ook te combineren met vaste planten borderpakketten van Yarinde, zoals pakket Fenne, Feline, Dries, Henk jan of Ilse. Bestel deze plantpakketten eenvoudig per m2. Zelf combinaties maken? Denk aan Salie 'Salvia', Lampenpoetsersgras 'Pennisetum', Prachtkaars 'Gaura', IJzerhard 'Verbena', Daglelie 'Hemerocallis' en halfhoge Ooievaarsbek 'Geranium' soorten.

Zuilvlier Sambucus nigra 'Golden Tower'  zelf combineren met

Deze compacte, opgaande Zwarte Vlier wordt vaak gecombineerd met verschillende heesters zowel als boshaag als ook binnen een (grotere) border. Denk bij grote plantvakken en bosplantsoen stroken aan combinaties met Haagbeuk, Laurier, Boerenjasmijn, Sneeuwbal Viburnum, Zwarte (zuil) Vlier, Meidoorn, Krentenboompje of Lijsterbes.

Een directe combinatie met borderplanten is wat lastiger te maken aangezien deze Zuilvlier zeer oppervlakkig wortelt en daarmee een grote afnemer van oppervlakkige vocht en voeding is. Of enige afstand kunt u wel Akelei, (roze bloeiende) Herfstanemoon, Spierstruik Astilbe, Maagdenpalm, bodembedekkende laurier, Blauw Schapengras en Leliegras planten.

I like the fact that these are kind of soft and fuzzy (outside), but I LOVE that they leave your toes exposed and cool (because my heels feel kind of warm from the moisturizer and gel pad). They are of good thickness, and I feel they will last a long time (of course remains to be seen). Highly recommend.
