Champagnehuis Gosset maakt al stille wijnen sinds halverwege de 16e eeuw. Dit maakt Gosset het oudste nog actieve wijnhuis in de Champagne. Echter begonnen zij pas veel later met het produceren van Champagne. Momenteel produceert Champagne Gosset ongeveer 1 miljoen flessen per jaar, waarmee het in de middenmoot zit. Echter is de kwaliteit excellent te noemen. Met name de Celebris Champagne, de benaming voor de vintage champagnes van Gosset, maken veel furore. Voor deze vintage champagne heeft de champagnemaker van Gosset gebruik gemaakt van de chardonnay en de Pinot Noir, de twee bekendste druivenrassen in het champagnegebied. Deze champagne bestaat voor 59% uit chardonnay en 41% pinot Noir. Juist deze verhoudingen zorgen voor de indrukwekkende geur en smaak van Gosset Champagne Celebris Rose. Beginnend met de geur worden wij al verliefd op deze rosé champagne. Een uitbundig boeket van verse aardbeien, zachte frambozen en rode bessen kietelen je neus. Een toets van vanille geeft ietwat complexiteit. De smak is in eerste instantie verrassend verfrissend. Echter dient het fruit zich bijzonder snel aan op de tong. Je smaakpapillen zullen overuren draaien. Een palet barstensvol rood fruit en citrus walst door je mond heen. Gosset Champagne Celebris Rose is elegant, verfijnd, delicaat en loepzuiver. Great taste, good variety.

My kiddo loves these. Her favorite one is the Mexican Chicken Stew. If I can't get her to eat because she has teeth coming in, I can always get her to eat one of these. I keep them in the fridge so that they are cold and she likes them better cold. They are a little pricey but the flavors are delicious and she eats finishes them in a few minutes. I also use them for on the go if we are going to be running errands or going to the park I can just open one and she is good to go.
