Lokale Utrechtse maker
Ruud Snel bedacht de originele Domkaars en was al vanaf 1969 Domkaarsenmaker in zijn atelier Ruud’s Waskit in de Donkerstraat in Utrecht. Hij was met iedereen in contact en wilde ‘licht verspreiden’. Een kleurrijk mens met ontzettend veel humor. Zijn Domkaars is een stoer product wat sowieso continuïteit verdiende. De makers van deze kaarsen zijn de nichtjes van Ruud, Mandy Snel en Manon Snel, tweelingzussen met de ambitie samen te ondernemen. Elke kaars wordt door hen handgemaakt en elke kaars vertelt een eigen persoonlijke boodschap van de gever naar de ontvanger.
