De Direct Calcium Bolus (= de nieuwe naam voor de Calcium Bolus Gold)  is voor de melkkoeien om deze extra calcium te geven. Melkkoeien neigen kort voor of na het afkalven melkziekte te krijgen door een acuut tekort aan calcium in het bloed. Deze bolus is eenvoudig toe te dienen en word snel opgenomen in de pensvloeistof. Daarnaast is er geen irritatie van slokdarm en voormagen. Ook is er geen risico op verslikken en/of longbeschadiging. 

Oraal toedienen met een geschikte applicator/bolusschieter(36 mm).(Ref.869)

Voederadvies
1. Direct Calcium Bolus 12-24 uur voor het afkalven.
2. Direct Calcium Bolus direct na het afkalven.
3. Direct Calcium Bolus 10-12 uur na het afkalven.
4. Direct Calcium Bolus 24 uur na het afkalven.
 
Ondersteunend na een Melkziekte-therapie
1. Direct Calcium Bolus 2 uur na een infuusbehandeling met calcium.
2. Direct Calcium Bolus 12 uur na een infuusbehandeling met calcium.
