Omschrijving
Het familiebedrijf Corvezzo, opgericht in 1960 wordt gerund door de 3e en 4e generatie. Renzo Corvezzo staat samen met zoon Giovanni en dochter Katia aan het roer van dit domein dat 160 ha groot is. De wijngaard en wijnmakerij van de familie (154 ha) bevinden zich in de buurt van Treviso, tussen de Dolomieten en de Adriatische Zee, een perfecte locatie voor de productie van biologische druiven.

Corvezzo streeft naar constante duurzaamheid. Dit is te zien in de aandacht voor specifieke details. Van de wijnstok tot het eind product, het doel van de familie is om het milieu te respecteren en afvalstoffen te recyclen.

De druiven worden eind september geplukt waarna het sap geperst wordt en de wijn vergist op RVS tanks. De 2e vergisting vindt plaats via de Charmat methode, ook wel ‘Cuve Close’ genoemd gedrurende 40 dagen. Bij deze methode voegt men nog wat extra suiker en gist toe aan de stille wijn waardoor het gist weer actief wordt en de suikers omzet in alchohol en koolzuur. Door de tank hermetisch af te sluiten blijft de gevormde in de wijn “gevangen” en blijft er een heerlijke mousserende wijn over.

Als aperitief, bij visgerechten (zonder vette sauzen), garnaaltjes, lichte vleesgerechten, salades, asperges en gegrilde groenten.

This is the tool you want. It is exceptionally functional, well made (made in the USA, if that matters to you), and beautiful in the way that quality tools are. The thing that really sets this tool apart is that it correctly balances form vs. function: a heavy duty build (as is the point when buying a bottle opener built by a tool company) without its use as a bottle opener (as is the point when buying ANY bottle opener) being negatively impacted by said build. I also bought the Craftsman bottle cap wrench, which, in my opinion, is hugely successful as feeling like a heavy duty tool and something of a failure as a bottle opener. It's so large and heavy, it has equal mass to the bottle you're opening. Imagine your buddy who has had one too many wielding a 12 oz. steel wrench over your tile floor, countertop, toes, etc. and you'll get the idea. Lastly, the engraving and materials on this Klein tool are so attractive I had to build it a custom wall mount instead of hiding it away in a drawer or tool chest. I will be buying a second for the office.
