Min Taka ontleent haar naam aan mythes van verdwijnende werelden. Ze deelt haar belevingswereld met een genre-overstijgend geluid dat beweegt tussen indie, liquid DnB, synth- en hyperpop. Haar nummers reflecteren op thema’s als identiteit, je thuis voelen, vrouwelijkheid en verbinding. Het sonische universum van de Rotterdams-Istanbulse varieert van intiem en zacht tot intense elektronische commotie.  In 2025 is Min Taka klaar om te knallen. Het begint niet alleen met een show op Noorderslag, maar ook met een nieuwe single genaamd ‘eYeSiGht’.

Op haar vinylsingle staan twee nieuwe Engelstalige nummers, waarvan ‘Find my Phone!’ zelfs exclusief op vinyl zal verschijnen. Het nummer, dat gaat over twee mensen die bij het uitgaan met elkaar flirten, heeft een feature van de in London gevestigde en in Istanbul geboren Airport Crush. Deze samenwerking loopt al sinds Min Taka’s eerste releases. Het nummer ‘Lal’, dat een ode aan haar zus is, zal terug te vinden zijn op haar toekomstige EP: I think we should just move in together.

I ordered this for my children to sleep on at long evening Church services but now I will look to more niche sellers for a higher quality product.
