When to Replace
- Visible cracking, abrasions, or brittleness on the hose exterior.
- Persistent smell of gas near connections after the tank valve is opened.
- Inconsistent or low flame, or burners that will not stay lit.
- Flames are yellow or produce soot instead of being primarily blue.
- Regulator produces a humming or whistling noise during operation.
Installation Tips
- Ensure the propane tank valve is completely closed before starting.
- Hand-tighten the QCC1 fitting onto the propane tank until secure. Do not use tools.
- Use an appropriate wrench to tighten the 3/8-inch flare nut onto the appliance's gas inlet.
- After connecting, perform a leak test by applying a soapy water solution to all connections.
- Open the tank valve and look for bubbles, which indicate a leak. If bubbles form, turn off the gas and retighten the connection.
