The equipment will go to refugee and immigrant children (and teens) all over, GreaterGood has a current focus on helping the children of the Mae Tao Clinic in Thailand, which is one of the beneficiaries of this benefit buy. There is ongoing violence in Burma, and many of those who are being targeted are fleeing to Mae Sot, where the clinic is located. The children fleeing are often left without access to education, and experience barriers to healthcare, housing and basic human rights according to maetaoclinic.org.

Another area of focus are the camps by Lake Turkana where hundreds of thousands of refugees live. By giving these items it will provide both empowerment and joy to refugee communities.

Providing musical supplies or sports equipment brings so much happiness to a child's life. These kids have been through so much at such a young age. Learning to play, having fun singing along and playing sports gives them an escape from the harshness of reality. This equipment helps them not only to be creative, and get their energy out but encourages community and helps with mental and physical development.

You can send:

Sports  Equipment: This will provide a ball (a soccer ball, basketball, football or other another type of sports equipment depending on what is needed and wanted most). Some of the soccer balls are sewn by refugees, so not only are kids being given gifts but financial support and economic stability is an added bonus for the refugee adults!

Musical  Equipment: This includes a new guitar, a nylon case, 5 picks, a second set of strings and a capo (a device used on the neck of the guitar to help with different notes).

What is the Mae Tao Clinic:

Sports & musical equipment are used till the end of the objects life.

In 1989 Dr. Cynthia Maung and a small group of students would open a clinic, that would last for many years, as they escaped a military crackdown in Burma. The Mae Tao Clinic's goal is to provide quality, affordable healthcare, education and protection of all human rights for people who enter through their doors. They work with the community and different levels of government bodies to help achieve their goals.* They have helped thousands of people throughout the years.

How Your Donation Helps:

The Mae Tao Clinic provides a holistic approach to helping and protecting children. Part of that holistic approach is development with music. Encouraging children to sing, dance and learn how to play instruments brings joy while also enhancing learning abilities, and cognitive development which includes planning, memory, and inhibition. Music helps refine listening skills and sparks creativity and imagination.

Athletics are another way the clinic supports holistic development. Not only is it great for exercise, but it helps form bonds with teammates. Children participating in sports also learn self-control, personal responsibility and empowerment.

Sending one or both kits lets the kids know that there are others out there rooting for them to succeed and to live happy, healthy lives! These kits give the clinic workers the tools they need to help kids and teens develop and grow.

Co-founder and CEO of GreaterGood, Tim Kunin, hands out soccer balls, some instruments and other sports equipment to the Mae Tao Clicnic!

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
