SOLD OUT

Second Edition pressing.

Set contains:

• EIGHT BLACK VINYL SMALL HOLE 45s WITH PICTURE SLEEVES
• 45s ARE HOUSED IN A DELUXE, FABRIC-WRAPPED CARRYING CASE, WITH 360-DEGREE ORIGINAL ALBUM ART
• INCLUDES ONE BONUS SONG, IF THE PAPES COME (REMIX), AS WELL AS THREE TRACKS ONLY INCLUDED ON ORIGINAL CD AND CASSETTE PRESSINGS (NOT LP)
• AUDIO USED FOR THIS EDITION IS REMASTERED BY BOB POWER (ORIGINAL ALBUM ENGINEER AND MIXER) AND A TRIBE CALLED QUEST

Songs on this reissue literally run the gamut, from early singles (the hits I Left My Wallet In El Segundo and Can I Kick It?) to flirty and infectious (Bonita Appelbum), in addition to mixing in non-preachy social messages, as on Push It Along (about staying positive in a chaotic world) and Pubic Enemy (about STDs and the importance of safe sex). Deeper album cuts like Luck Of Lucien and Youthful Expression show wisdom beyond their years, going beyond brags to explore personal relationships and days in their own lives. With soul- and jazz-inflected, expertly constructed beats to propel their words and thoughts, it was an unmistakably powerful combination.

Lyrically Q-Tip and Phife played off each other perfectly, which is not surprising considering that they had been friends since elementary school. Ali Shaheed masterfully manned the decks, while adding crucial audio seasoning to production. And Jarobi, who would later become a professional chef, was the secret ingredient early-on, pushing the group along in the studio and adding energy to their early live shows.

Presented in this very special 45s Box edition, the 16 sides here – with a sequence set in collaboration with the group – are not in exact order of the original album sequence. Luck Of Lucien, for instance, has been re-created as a two part suite in this edition. And Footprints moves from earlier-on, to the final side.

Additionally, there is one rare bonus song, If The Papes Come, which was the B-Side to the Can I Kick It? single. Also, three songs here – Pubic Enemy; Go Ahead In The Rain; and Description Of A Fool – were only included on CD and Cassette pressings of the original album, not the original LP. All songs in this new pressing have been remastered by legendary engineer Bob Power, who engineered and/or mixed all five of the groups albums, in addition to many other hitmakers of the era.

Perfect for people who take carry on bags flying to beach vacation!
Style: Spray (2 Oz)
THE only spray on sunscreen, that is NOT a 200 SPF, thats less than 3.5 ounces so TSA doesnt confiscate it from bag en route to Cancun. I keep a few in the drawer and take the partially used one from last trip to finish off plus a new sealed one as backup. Smells great and sprays a fine lovely mist so you dont fry. LOVE this product. A GREAT purchase. We dont check bags and its hard to find ANY product in under 3.5 ounce packaging. Sure you can pour sunscreen into bottles that mfg says do not leak, but youll learn the hard way that they DO leak all over the inside of your suitcase. Skip that learning experience and buy COOLA.

Best Sunscreen and Reef Safe
Style: Spray (6 Oz)
I've been using this sunscreen for a couple of years now and this is the one! The lotion and the spray are both great, smell good and are reef friendly and organic. They are pricey but my skin appreciates the extra!

Worked well near the equator
Style: SPF 50
I bought this product because I was going to be in the field for a month, outside, every day, all day, in Tanzania at high altitude. A severe sunburn would be hard to treat in the remote area we were in, but also I am very careful about protecting my skin from aging. I had to have mineral based sunscreen because as a whitewater kayaker I know it’s the only truly water resistant kind and it was going to be sweaty. And since I knew I was going to be putting it on every day, and we didn’t have running water in the field (bucket showers only) I didn’t want it to feel gross. (I really wanted to try the spray but I didn’t want to put anything pressurized in my luggage.) And I had already discovered the Coola face sunscreen (30spf version) which had impressed me with how silky smooth and not greasy it is. Now this IS greasier because it is a higher SPF. BUT I think this product is as good as you’re going to get with the protection you’re getting. Like I said, I’m a white water tiger, so I have used a LOT of mineral sunscreens. This was hands down the most comfortable one I’ve used. And it was effective. I didn’t burn once—only time I did burn was when I forgot to put it on one day toward the end of the trip, when we were out for just a couple hours—and I got the first 2nd degree burn I’ve ever had in my life. That was what this stuff had protected me from, all day every day, the entire trip. I did tan a little but I think that was mostly from the few times I was not covered during short bouts or it was cloudy. For my face I used the Coola 50spf face product.
