Chad went with a top load design that's built from CNC machined 6061 T6 aluminium with grooved front and underside sections to remove any unnecessary weight. A recessed compression bolt area cleans up the look making the fork bolt flush. To finish the CK Stem features engraved "CK" logos on the sides and a laser etched

Chad went with a top load design that's built from CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminium with grooved front and underside sections to remove any unnecessary weight. A recessed compression bolt area cleans up the look making the fork bolt flush.

To finish the CK Stem features engraved "CK" logos on the sides and a laser etched Premium logo up top.

Please note: This Premium CK Stem is the standard 22.2mm version and will only fit regular 22.2mm bars.

The pepper grinder looks nice and initially functioned well as expected. However, as at least 9 other reviewers have noted experiencing, within 2 weeks of purchase and after very minimal usage, the black retaining ring around the grinder cone & adjustment knob just fell out when I was using the grinder, which was disappointing and indicative of poor design or construction for this part. After some research & experimentation, I was able to pop the ring back into place using needle-nose pliers (you just need something hard and narrow to push and flex the ring a bit, not necessarily pliers). I'm hoping that this is not a harbinger of other problems to come. Otherwise it's a nice grinder.
