This Texas Honey Mesquite board is the rich, reddish brown of Mesquite heartwood, with less than 10% of the block being the lighter sapwood. The grain is strong and linear to gently curving. There is a thin stripe of sapwood on the right side of the front face (first photo). There is one small saw tear out on the back face near the bottom (second photo).
