Deep crimson with purple hues, displaying excellent clarity and viscosity that hints at the wine's concentration and youthful vigour.
Aroma
The nose opens with lifted aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and plum, complemented by subtle notes of cracked black pepper, violet, and a whisper of cedar. Underlying hints of vanilla and sweet spice from careful oak integration add complexity without overwhelming the pure fruit expression.
Palate
Medium to full-bodied with impressive depth, the palate delivers layers of ripe dark berries, mulberry, and black cherry. Silky, refined tannins provide structure and balance, whilst bright acidity keeps the wine fresh and lively. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of dark chocolate and gentle spice.
This is an excellent example of cool-climate Australian Shiraz from the renowned Pyrenees region, offering immediate drinking pleasure whilst possessing the structure to reward short-term cellaring.
