How to Install Brother DR730 Drum Unit
- Turn on your Brother printer and make sure it is idle.
- Open the front cover of the printer.
- Remove the toner and drum assembly from the printer.
- Press the release lever and remove the toner cartridge from the old drum unit.
- Unpack the new compatible Brother DR730 drum unit.
- Remove all protective materials, orange parts, clips, tape, and packing materials.
- Insert your toner cartridge into the new DR730 drum unit until it clicks into place.
- Gently slide the green tab on the drum unit from side to side several times to clean the corona wire, then return it to the home position.
- Install the toner and drum assembly back into the printer.
- Close the front cover.
- If the printer still shows “Replace Drum” or “Drum End Soon,” reset the drum counter from your printer menu according to your printer model’s instructions.
