For smooth operation the 498 uses: a 7-stainless-steel-bearing system with instant anti-reverse a full metal body and sideplate for solid gear alignment and an innovative bail halo for added rotor and bail arm strength under heavy drag pressure.
A Carbon Hybrid drag applies consistent drag pressure and an aluminum spool with line capacity markers tells you approximately how much line you have left on the spool.
