The HAWKE Sidewinder 30 SF 4.5-14x44 Riflescope has many improvements compared to the previous model, the first of which is the new H5 optics system, which offers an excellent 24-degree field of view with 4" eye relief. Designed to shoot in challenging situations, it has 18-layer fully-multicoated glass that results in views normally seen in scopes that cost much more. With a 44mm objective lense and a 30mm aluminum tube, the Sidewinder features a sharp view even in bad lighting, with 6 illumination levels from the red multi-LED reticle lights.
In addition, the elevation turret now includes a witness window for easy visual identification of the revolution setting of the turret. Both the windage and elevation turrets lock and are adjustable in a range of 28 MRAD, by 1/10 MRAD clicks. The scope can be used on any gun, from a firearm with recoil to an airgun, due to its rugged build. The lenses are shockproof, waterproof, fog proof, and nitrogen purged, giving clear sight under multiple lighting and weather conditions.
Hawke's second focal plane (SFP) Half Mil Reticle has accurate spacing at the 10x magnification setting, with markings every half MRAD, plus .2 mil markings on the first and last MRAD markings past the 6 mil post, and also features a series of crosses on the lower portion of the reticle at 1 mil increments in a Christmas tree style. Markings are .2 mil, .5 mil, or 1 mil in height, and crosses are .2 mil high and wide.
The reticle makes it easy to shoot even in harsh environments with multiple windage aim points and to calculate range. The package also includes a 2" sidewheel, 4" sunshade, lens covers, lens cloth, zoom lever, and a CR2032 battery for the reticle illumination LEDs.
