Since it spreads via rhizomes, it spreads vigorously, so it will need to be planted in areas that won't allow it to spread too much. This plant can tolerate heavy shade, but for maximum color and variegation, it will need full to part sun. Hardy in zones 4-10. These plants are growing in 3.5-inch pots.
