The Genelec 8020DRW is a compact 2-way active nearfield monitor that combines striking industrial design with precise, uncolored sound reproduction. Housed in Genelec’s signature Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) made of raw die-cast aluminum, the 8020DRW is built not only for durability but also to eliminate unwanted resonances and edge diffraction. Equipped with a 105 mm (4") woofer and a 19 mm (¾") metal dome tweeter, each powered by a dedicated 50 W Class D amplifier, the 8020DRW delivers a maximum SPL of 100 dB and a frequency response of 56 Hz to 25 kHz (-6 dB). Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) ensures controlled dispersion and consistent imaging, while onboard Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) technology automatically powers down the monitor when idle, reducing energy consumption without compromising convenience.
